New MtG Product? Reasonable?

What do you all think of the following as a reasonable product for wizards to produce.

50 basic land (10 of each) and a spin-down life counter for $1

this would make it so you can get a draft or sealed game going much faster.

Buy 3-6 packs and with this you are instantly ready for a game of limited.

oh fuck yeah

This would vary in popularity with the set I would personally enjoy one for SOI as the basics there are pretty amazing, but not so much sets like theros.

i acutally really liked the theros lands, and I hate SOI's for being too dark to see shit.

my favourite of course are original ravnica, mirrodin and lorwyn.

That just doesnt seem like enough return for wizards it would have to be like 3.00

The spin down alone is usually at least a dollar. The price depends on the set the lands and die are from. Generally 5 bucks would be minimum.

Make them $3.95, same as a booster, but still overpriced. Just the way Wizards likes it!

assuming no money for spindown and the fact that wizards should try to lower the cost of basics with this and it should be about 3.50. maybe 3.

what if we say you can buy a special "battle pack" or some stupid name where you get 6 packs, and this land+die combo for $25. Then its still the same price, but it will also push sales for packs.

Lands will end up being 0.04c each in this pack, which is fairly reasonable as they are ... basic. (badump pssht) but i don't see people really wanting to pay more than ~$1 for 50 land. i mean i know people were spending like $95 for bfz land packs but thats an exception. But 10 of each basic is just enough for a draft so may as well tack it on as a draft package deal if not just as a stand alone product. Hell chuck the die if you want i have paper to use for life totals.

They already do that lokotar its called a fat pack lol yeah its more expensive but you also get more packs

EmblemMan has a point. Fat Packs have 9 packs, enough for 2 to draft with a payout, or enough for 3 to draft with no payout. Fat Packs do have the spindown, bUT therrs only 1, so you'd have to bring a few extra. The land is nice too, I gebe rally leave thEm sealed, but they help in draft. Besides that the book and 2 deck boxes help in draft too.

Now we just need to see what "bundles" bring us?

Try $3.

Basic lands are never sold on the market for a penny. First off, the shop I work for sells them at .05 cents a piece, 25 for a $1. SCG doesn't rarely sells them for less than a quarter, the equivalent to a junk rare by their standards.

At my shops generous pricing of 5 cents a land you'd have $2.50 for the lands. If we used the 25 for a dollar you'd have $2.00. Charge another $1.00 for the spindown as they are significantly more sought after and needed than any random regular die. If you're generous it's .50 cents. But from a business standpoint if you can rationalize $3, why not just keep the change out of the equation and make it $3?

You're pricing this from a player perspective. Not a business one.

TMBRLZ is correct here. No offense, but this would be like me making a thread saying all booster packs need to be sold for 1.50 cents because the commons, uncommons, and most rares are all worth less than 50 cents.

But that would be cool. I do like the city scenes in the Ravnica lands...
