Green Removal

I was playtesting my Green Beatdown deck against my Black creature kill deck and I noticed that Green has no way of really killing cards like Royal Assassin without getting a creature out. Can somebody please direct me to a card that can be played in a monogreen deck that can deal damage to a creature WITHOUT flying? I found beesting but that's... not always enough.

Desert Twister or Entangling Vines ?

Or why not go artifact removal Ratchet Bomb or Lux Cannon

i know you said w/ out creatures but Masticore and Molten-Tail Masticore provide removal like effects.

Lignify is the best way I've found to simulate removal in green. Mono green tends to get big enough creatures that 4 toughness doesn't slow them down much.

Otherwise Brittle Effigy seems like your best option if you're playing standard.

I'll second Lignify . Snakeform does the same trick, but costs an extra broccoli.

Lignify is one reason Lorwyn is one of the best sets ever. :D

Tornado .

Seriously, though, Green just doesn't do direct creature removal. You can pull some cute tricks with Basilisk Collar and things like Prized Unicorn , but against a Royal Assassin you just have to hope you can drop creatures and bring the pain faster than your opponent can kill them. That's kind of what Green does, after all =) However, you can use things like Vines of Vastwood and Withstand Death to turn the tables temporarily.
