Gideon, Boros Aligned in Ravnica

So, I'm not sure if anyone else has seen this yet, but this is awesome. We will be getting a (probably) new Gideon somewhere in Ravnica! He is Boros aligned, so he might be RW, like Ajani Vengeant . Check out the sweet picture of him and some angel who may or may not be Razia.

Whatever it is. It will be nice to finally have a new Gideon. The old won is boss, but to see what else they can do with Gideon will be interesting.

All of the guilds will be getting new two-color legends. I believe that is Auriela behind Gideon.

Is there anywhere to find more info on this? As the coloration of my handle might suggest I love me some Boros and I like knowing the storylines as well.

My best guess is the angel in the background is Feather but we could all be wrong seeing as the boros guild isnt the only one with angels, Angel of Despair , and there definitely would be more than one angel in the guild. Though the colour scheme is definitely that of boros

For those who want to see it, the Magic panel at Comic-Con was mainly about Return to Ravnica, with a bit of info on it, followed by questions from the audience. People keep saying Feather, but I don't really see that happening. If you look at the announcement of the second set in the RTR block, they announced which guilds will be in which set, and all the old guilds are intact. While they didn't go into specifics in the Dissension book, the end of it strongly implied that some guilds were gone now under the new Guildpact.
Also, Gideon with the Boros is kind of interesting... I would almost think they were the kind of organization he swore to fight. Or maybe the Azorious better fit that bill.

he is confermed to be with the boros and joined them and all the angels but 1 were wiped out in Ravica block only 1 was know to survive witch was feather cause she refuse to fight in that block so she was outcasted if i heard right

The video of the Panel at Comic Con only says Jace is confirmed in Return to Ravnica as a Planeswalker, doesn't say it is going to be Izzet aligned (though one may think so based on the illustration with Niv-Mizzet) nor if it he will be R/U.
I personally believe that Jace will stay mono-blue, and the other walker in the set will be Ral Zarek, an Izzeet (R/U) Planeswalker from Ravnica, depicted in Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012. As for Gatecrash, Gideon seems to be getting a new version (hope it's R/W to fit Boros, though it can perfectly be mono-white) and as for the other Walker, my money is on Kiora Atua, a Merfolk G/U Walker (for Simic, since they are in color AND their leader is a Merfolk) shown on Duels 2012 as well.

nowhere in the panel do they say that jace is aligned with izzet. if your so-called proof is that they released a photo of jace standing in front of niv, that could mean anything. that doesnt mean he is CONFIRMED to be izzet

I don't remember exactly... did Mark Rosewater said there were four planeswalkers in the whole block or just in Return+Gatecrash? I wonder if there will be a 5th in "Sinker", the last set. I am pretty sure he said there were only 4...

I thought he was asking for proof about Gideon being Boros aligned which I think was a perfectly reasonable assumption being as that was the topic of this thread, not Jace, my apologies for having offended anyone with claiming 'proof' about Jace being Izzet aligned. That was not my intention.
If I recall correctly it was 2 planeswalkers in Return to Ravnica and 3 in Gatecrash. I could be mistaken there but that is what I thought was said.

i forgot about Ral Zarek so ya i can see jace being mono blue still hmm so i can see for the 2 walkers in RTR being Ral Zarek and jace, and Gatecrash being Gideon and Kiora Atua, and the last set don'e know who it will be

only angel left was feather in in the last block all other angels got killed, and thier are supose to be 5 wlakers in this entire set the 5th one might pop up in last set, who know it is almost a full year before sinker comes out

I don't know about the plot they have for this New Ravnica, but the last walker could be Tezzeret, seeking revenge from Jace. On the other hand, if Nicol Bolas messed his mind good, he may not even remember the events depicted on the novel Agents of Artifice (good novel, actually, I was expecting crap and was surprised).
If it's not him, and assuming that we all are right about the colors of the rest of the Walkers, the only color-pair combinations left to creat would be G/W for selesnia (would be AWESOME with lots of lifegain and creature buff) or G/B for the Golgari (that is, not counting Garruk, the Veil-Cursed Flip Flip).
And then again, of course it can be a mono-color, brand-new Walker or even another 4.0 of an existing one (another Chandra, to make the coolest Izzet deck ever, with a mono-blue, mono-red and red/blue walkers in it).
Speculations on the table, place your bets!

By the way, Feather was banned/killed, as seen on Jenna's article (http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/ur/204). The new leader (Mark Rosewater told us that durin the Comic Con) is Aurelia.

I really hope that this is a sign of chaos throughout the guilds and not a sign that Boros is going to be the hand of mis-guided zealotry in RtR. I like playing as the good guys!

I hope they don't do ral, kiora, and jace all in one block, that would be 3 blue planeswalkers. that seems like waaaaaayyyy to much blue love. doing another jace seems like already too much to me. Although I might be biased because I still remember what JTMS did to standard >.<

Well, even if Boros doesn't show up in card form until Gatecrash that doesn't mean that they won't affect the story at all. :P

@ atreyujames: Don't worry, there are only two Walker in the first set, Jace (confirmed) and, we think Ral Zarek. Simic, the G/U guild, is comming in Gatecrash - and if there is a chance for Kiora to show up, it's now or never.

Oh, I see. I have thought about it too. I mean, I can't complain about a new jace AND an Izzet planeswalker in the same set, but the way we are talking about the block it does look to have too much blue in for the walkers... suprprise me, Wizards!

i thought Razia was gone? i guess that its Feather. i wish wizards would do a dual planeswalker in colours we havent seen yet. something like GW or UG or even UR
