First card you ever owned?

What was the first card you owned or considered you owned? Even if you bought a starter deck, what was the first card you saw that you could actually call your own? I personally have a holo Wolfbriar Elemental that's under like five different thick card protectors haha. Never going to get rid of him! What was your first card?
Haha yeah, my first deck was like 90 cards. Some sort of Gruul kicker deck.

My first card would have to be the foil Cathedral of War that I opened from my toolkit back last year.

hmm... first card I owned? Leaf Gilder . First rare from a booster pack? Phyrexian Obliterator . haven't pulled a card that good since, haha

Bogardan Hellkite , from the duel decks (my brother got the Knight of the Reliquary ). the first card that i remember from a booster pack is a Time Reversal . ironically, my first edh deck was the kaalia deck which used Bogardan Hellkite , which i found very useful.

first card i owned, i don't even remember. but the pull i remember the most is my first new phyrexia pack which contained a Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite which i traded for a foil Temporal Mastery which i lost along with some other stuff...
but my first deck was a mono green big creatures deck. i had 0 creature below 6 cmc. no kidding. Rampant Growth and Cultivate were my only cards with a cmc between 0 and 6. 6 was Terra Stomper

Trying to think of my first booster pack.... I know I pulled a Sword of War and Peace once, but that's like oldest booster I can remember. Probably only because it was such a good pull :P.

First pack I opened after I got serious into magic had an Akroma, Angel of Wrath . I still have her too. I had plenty of cards before that but I was just goofing around with magic back then.

Elspeth Tirel in the back of my intro pack, before I knew what a mythic was, it was awesome! I just reused her abilities because I didn't know how a planeswalker worked at that time.

I got my first cards when my friend gave me a big box of his old cards. It was a lot of junk, but there were a few 4th edition Royal Assassin s, which inspired my first deck, a truly awful black deck (the first of many awful black decks I would make over the years). That's the first card I really remember caring about, I was so stoked when it was reprinted in M12.

Mine had to be Kargan Dragonlord when I returned to magic after a short hiatus. But the first cards I ever owned were from a 7th edition 2-player starter deck with Thorn Elemental and Vizzerdrix .

bought an intro pack which was pretty much my first so i consider nefarox my first card (first rare). first mythic- sublime archangel in the boosters of that pack

Oh goodness, I can't even remember. It's rather sad really, considering I've only played for ten months. Most likely though it would have been a Warclamp Mastiff , which was in a deck a friend made for me. The first card though that I consider myself having owned would have to be Akroma's Memorial , which I believe I pulled in the first booster I ever bought.

The first card that I really called my own was a Greater Basilisk . I made a voltron type deck with my friend's cards focused around it (I was kinda stupid, but it worked and kicked all of their asses while they focused on ridiculous stuff) and bought the deck off him for something like $10. It was sooo worth it. I got one of the Snake mothers from Kamigawa and a lot of decent equipments and auras. And so, that was how I got into Magic shortly before Avacyn Restored.

I got the 5 intro packs from 10th addition, with the legendarys. My dad got me them for my birthday after he taught me how to play, and saw that I was interested. First booster I opened had a foiled Lord of Extinction

Angel of flight alabaster for the spectral legions intro pack, got a ludevic in the back and at this point I didn't know you could get rare in every pack.

Soulless One . I bought a part of a friend's collection, and that was the first card I saw when I opened the box. I knew I had to have it. My girlfriend now has it in her (double sleeved) zombie deck. /mushy

Skarrg Guildmage from a Gatecrash Booster Battle pack. I traded away the rares in my packs to a cunniving bastard "friend" though for next to nothing, since "I was never going to use red and white". (The cards were Spark Elemental and something else)
Skarrgy saved my ass so many times, I would just spam his second ability late game and pull out a win 90% of the time.

My first card was inside the M13 Exalted starter deck, but the best pull I have ever gotten, had to be when I came last at my first FNM, and pulled a foil Trostani, Selesnya's Voice , which was perfect, because I was looking for a third for my deck XD

My friend gave me a small pile of random stuff to start with, but the cards I remember most clearly were Reconstruction , Brassclaw Orcs , and Icatian Javelineers .

I bought a collection of 400 cards on ebay for like $15+S&H. I don't remember what the first card I saw from that package was. But I consider my first card to be Garruk's Companion . That was the card that inspired me to make my first deck, which was a piece of crap mono green deck with only 20 lands and at least eight creatures that had a CMC of 7 or greater. But I had fun anyway.
