There have been dozens of keyword abilities, mechanics, or whatever they're called throughout Magic: The Gathering's long and illustrious card history.

You have ones that still remain today; lifelink, first strike, haste etc...

Others, have passed on as their blocks have rotated out; Fateseal, Dredge, Exalted, etc...

Fellow T/O users, can you recall an old ability that phased out that you liked?

If given the chance, whats one you would like to bring back?

In Standard, either Vedalken Certarch , Trinket Mage or Lighthouse Chronologist .

In EDH, everything (oh god wizards everywhere what is this I don't even). Magus of the Future , Ertai, Wizard Adept , Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir , Arcanis the Omnipotent , Riptide Director , Meloku the Clouded Mirror ...

I was talking to some friends who played since Odyssey came out, and their favorite ability was Modular, because they played Ravager decks.

Split second was amazing... you want something dead? Sudden Death was a sure way to do it. Volition Reins ? Bah, garbage in comparison to Take Possession

Wow, what I'd do for a split second countespell... fun stuff.

Another ability I loved was not really a mechanic but the one that allowed you to untap lands like Snap . Talk about some ridiculousness...

i never really understood banding

but one i'd like to try out is Hellbent you create a deck with cards that play from the grave and cards with Hellbent, and if you face a monoblack discard deck you just laugh in their faces going "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH"

banding was/is awesome its too bad a lot of people I know dont care for it or understands it.

though I think my favorite mechanic so far is threshold plus any cards that have a "graveyard matters" theme

The lack of Horsemanship in this list so far is disturbing.

well that's just inaccurate. I highly doubt that equestrian sportsmen are homosexual. Very unlikely.

I kinda like chroma. I mean, cmon, Primalcrux and Khalni Hydra ? I just think they should've made it a little bit more powerful, considering most of them are kinda bad.

i think they should bring back grafting, simply because i am a huge proliferation guy and would exploit it to the fullest :D

im gonna have to say my favorite is gonna have to be split second it was sooooooo broken and a control players worst nightmare and an agro players and well just about anyone not playing with it

commin in close is storm, suspend, rebound, sync up one or two suspends then cast a rebound spell and the next turn just about anything with storm and the opp might as well scoop
