Shame there's not much to target your creatures with in black i really like this heroic. What does everyone think?

That's a fair point Gift of Orzhova basically makes him a buffed nighthawk and causes your opponent to sacrifice a creature. Black really is getting quite a bit of love this set.

This guy is nasty... finally, a color other than white gets something of this power level in Theros.
I fell B/W humans are going to be a deck to look out for.

This guy seems like a perfect creature for "Nighthowler" to be "Bestow"ed upon..... just because by targeting this guy, it's likely to get the extra +1/+1.

Now I've gone through what you can do with him in my head he's definitely taking the place of Vampire Nighthawk in my mono-black deck well Agent of Fates and Lifebane Zombie are depending on who's more needed.

I feel like he is a pretty fair creature even without the Heroic ability. Honestly, dropping toughness enhancers or things like Gift of Orzhova on him could be vicious.
