Hello everybody, my question today is will Grim Flayer drop in value when he rotates. If he does drop how low will he go? Will he be a 2 dollar mythic or a 13 dollar modern staple.

Well, according to MTGTOP8, Grim Flayer is seeing play in 6.4% of decks in modern. He is also in a widely opened set. Interest in Modern should wane some since the format is 'dying', so people will be less likely to pick it up after it rotates. After rotation, he will drop in value, but I would think he would still be in the $10 range for a while before slipping into the $5 range.

Ryjo You're crazy if you think Grim Flayer will be a $5 card. It's a staple card in GBx decks now. It will not retain the $25 price tag, but I don't expect it to drop too far below $15. It may drop to $10ish immediately after rotation, but he should climb back up within a year.

I agree with what was mentioned before, but I'd also like to add that EMN wasn't as heavily opened as other standard sets due to the pack art/mythic contraversy, so it may retain some more value. I wouldnt be suprised it it hits $15 and hovers there.
