What was the most opened/bought set?

I've been looking around and I can't seem to find any evidence of financial reports that tell what sets have sold the best. Anyone have any idea of a list that showed the most "popular" or opened sets?
I feel like Khans of Tarkir was the biggest for a while due to the fetch lands.
Battle for Zendikar as a block was massive due to the expedition lands
I think as popularity grows each set will be opened more n more. That's why some rares are worth like $.25 the day of release. Shops know the set will be opened like crazy

I also think that certain sets that are fan-favorites, or anticipated, such as War of the Spark, will be opened long after the release buzz has died down.

Wotc is privy to that information, but usually a couple of months after a set is revealed, WOTC comes out and says "this is our best-selling set to date". Thus, in terms of volume of product, the most recent standard-legal set is the best answer. Currently, it is probably Ravnica Allegiance.
