Vedalken Orrery it's been on a trend up with a few dips here and there. My question is, why? I can't find it in any decks. I know it's good in edh for just about any deck, but is that enough to bring it up $10?

It gives non-blue decks access to instant speed tricks

I meant is it more edh, just being good in casual, the fact that it's an artifact, a buy out.

Turn two/three orrery is great in many decks. No shortage of ways to have that turn 3, if you wanted it.

As far as how the market is driving it up, that's a good question.

It is good in just about every casual edh deck. It was only printed in two sets with relatively small print runs. So its demand is more than its supply.

It is my understanding that conspiracy has one of the largest print runs out of any set ever printed. They only stopped printing it once Conspiracy 2 came out. There should be plenty of supply.

Commander is not only capable of influencing the market, but a major player in magic economics. It's not like how it was in 2012 when commander was still pretty fresh and not as many people took advantage of the secondary market the way they do now. Today, everyone's a speculator. A lot of players are big into the EDH market because EDH is one of the most popular formats out there. This is strictly from commander appeal.

Thanks everyone that chimed in. I had my thoughts that it was edh driven but couldn't be sure.
