Hey guys, sorry if I'm posting in the wrong Forum, buuut, since you're already here.

Let's talk money. I really love Theros block and decided to buy a Fat Pack, just for the sake of having one.

Which expansion you guys think I should buy and why? (Theros/Born of the Gods/Journey into Nyx).

Does any of those still contain some "pricy" cards to get some money back from the pack? I don't mean power 9 price, just the good ol' 10 dolars of yore.

Thanks so much!

Theros by far. I've had alot of experience with this, and theres only a few cards in the other two sets that could make up the price, compared to the value Theros has.

Actually, using the Pack Value tool on mtg.dawnglare.com indicates that a Journey Into Nyx fatpack would be the better buy. Granted, neither of those fatpacks have high yields ($9.90 for THS and $12.42 for JOU) so I would say buy which ever set you enjoyed more.

Theros by far. Some cards to pull are: Thoughtseize, The gods, Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver, Elspeth, Sun's Champion, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and more.

Journey is also pretty good with cards like Eidolon of the Great Revel, The gods, Ajani, Mentor of Heroes, Godsend, and Mana Confluence.

I wouldn't recommend buying any though because getting your money back is very very rare. But Theros is what you want to buy because there are more expensive rares than Journey.

MTGGoldfish indicates that Theros is worth more than Journey into Nyx. Set value of $136 versus $115. The main value holders in Nyx are things like that new Ajani and a few of the gods that will just utterly plummet over time because they're not very good cards. On the other hand Theros gives you Thoughtseize, Anger of the Gods, and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx that will maybe/likely rise over time.
