Should I sell Urza

Opened up an Urza, Lord High Artificer today and my local game store is already willing to buy it for market price or trade ins and stuff.

I’m not too sure what to do with the thing myself, normally I’d be all hyped to make an edh deck with this, but in all seriousness the guy is a giant bullseye target as soon as people see you pull up with him. Is he the super good in edh yes, is he unbeatable no and frankly I just don’t feel like putting a deck together for him.

i'd sell it soon. its currently worth more than i ever thought it would be, and i don't really see it being used anywhere but commander. as more packs get opened and more Urza's get pulled, price will just go down.

It will be worth more than it is now - but about a year from now. Urza is a powerful option for any artifact based deck and will likely not be reprinted soon. So, once anything related to playable modern artifacts comes around, we will see a jump in Urza's price.

I would not wait for that.

Since Modern Horizon is a print-on-demand set, in one year, Urza will still be around in packs.

According to european price, he slowed down since a few days, but still worth good money. I would sell it very quickly, trend is lowering with people opening packs.

ok, your store which most lgs buy cards at 40% low is willing to give you market jump on that, later he could be 80 and your lgs might only give you what they'll give you now for it.

Demarge It’s market only cause I’m friends with the owner and he knows he is going to sell it right away, like people have been asking for it and asking for it and it won’t even be on the shelf for a day.

oh shit, well if you're that close to a lgs owner you technically don't really apply to most people's thoughts on the matter, but still best to take advantage of your friend's good will instead of trying it if his price spikes
