Nahiri, the Harbinger

With the recent spike is the price of Nahiri I was wondering if it was time to try and move her? I am sure her price will drop after rotation, correct? That way if I want to pick her up later it would be at a much lower cost. I only play EDH and not 100% sure I will ever use her so I would hate to sit on the card now with the price spike. However, I was not sure if there was potential for her to keep rising? I was also curious what caused the price spike? I looked at the most recent standard and modern tournaments on StarCity, but I did not find her in any of the decks that made the top 8. Is there something else I am missing?

Mardu Control in Modern is using her as an alt. wincon with big creatures and Kiki-Chord uses her for removal/tutor. Apparently she's been performing very well.

I think the only way she'll substantially climb in price again is if she has one or two top 8's at large events.

She's a 5-card package in Modern and Legacy with Emrakul, the Aeons Torn and, in fact, is pretty powerful as a source of repeatable card selection even without Momma Emmy.

She also just won a major tournament this past weekend, decklist here, and was also in the MOCS. She's pretty much a lock to be a Modern staple as long as Emrakul is legal with her. Sell her or trade her if you're not gonna use her and need cards or cash now, but be aware that she may continue to rise over the next few months if she keeps putting up results and gaining a hold in the metagame. Her price is currently completely dictated by her viability in Modern, but if Eldritch Moon releases some kind of powerful creature on par with Emrakul for standard, she may see a second spike then as well.

My friend is going to hang onto his until after the Modern GP this weekend, where it might (probably will) see more play.

I'd like to see it go up at least a bit more before I unload mine.

I sold mine when it was $11 -____-

I even listened to people whining before release "Eh just another lackluster 4 mana walker" and I'm just sitting in the corner like "Well I like her" and just like Jace, the second I sell it, it quadruples in price. I am cursed. Blame me guys. I sold Nahiri so the price went up :P

Thanks everyone for the good feedback about Nahiri. I think I am going to wait as well to see how all of the decks perform this weekend. It sounds like people are just discovering ways to make her effective so hopefully she will be in a couple of decks that top 8. I am sure glad I hung on to her after she plummeted originally!

Naya Breach, Naya Valakut, Jeskai Control, Jeskai Tokens, Mardu Control, Mardu Tokens, R/W Moon. All those lists love to play nahiri and she makes every deck better. She will stay at minimum 20/25$. Even after rotation. She just does too much.

I don't know if it's safe to say she'll drop come rotation when the biggest reason for her climb probably has to do with her increased use in modern.

This.

I don't see her price increasing significantly without impressing people even further than she has already.
