Mox Emerald in about a year.

I just finally purchased one of my DREAM cards. A Card I have wanted to own since the moment I layed virtual eyes on it. The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale . Now, I have realized when I did a search out of curiosity that not all versions of Mox Emerald is worth 8,000. I, if I am lucky, I think I might be able to track down and purchase-through Ebay auctions, a mox emerald in LP for around 2500-3000 or so from the looks of it. My goal is for a graded 8+ of one like I got my Tabernacle in, but that might be hard. Do you guys think that ( because it will take me until maybe march to pay off the debt for the card I just bought) that by about December 2020-ish that this might still be achievable and NOT see Mox Emerald jump another 2k or something similar? Because as long as I can get one that is in a collectors condition, that being at least what most would consider LP or a Graded 8 which is a NM-Mint grade from beckett, that this might still be possible? Or should I say Feck it and buy one now on Paypal Credit and take the hit from interest rates knowing I cannot pay this shit off in six months in full? Is it worth it to wait, or do I need to Jump right the feck now?

This is basically my ultimate dream card. I have loved Green Mana and Green decks since I first started playing in Champions. My first deck was a hodge podge of green and white spells that were all Damaged cards a friend gave me and a Mox Emerald, being the symbol of green power itself is something I really want. So, should I wait until I have accumulated "some" of the funds I need and use the extra six months to hopefully get it paid off or almost paid off, or will this jump sooner than the end of next year and should I just pay a little extra in interest and just buy it now when I can find the right Mox?

For any of these high end card purchases you want to communicate with the seller as much as you can, it is extremely likely there are way more nearly perfect rip offs than there are real ones being sold atm. So definitely take it slow.

I don't think the price will jump radically between now and 6 months from now, but I am a little worried that you're essentially going into debt to purchase magic cards. If having it is worth that much to you, it's worth saving up for it. You never know what life will throw at you, and it's easier if you don't have extra debt hovering over your head that could have been avoided.

I have to agree with GeminiSpartanX here, as going into debt for a card game doesn't sound like a good financial decision. If you really are focused on getting this card however, I would recommend waiting until you pay off the Tabernacle because that debt will be VERY significant once it stacks.

I also want to make you very aware that Mox Emerald is only legal in Vintage, as a restricted card. I only mention that because I notice you only have commander decks and a couple standard decks publicized on this website and I don't want you to spend all that money just to play it in a game and have someone say "that's not legal, you should take that out."

Might I ask why you want a Mox Emerald? Are you actually intending to use it or will it just sit in your trade binder?

I'd wait on it. Congrats vasarto77 for getting a Tabernacle, that card is hot spice!

Dango - I don't intend on using it, ever. I intend on having a graded card so it can sit in a dust free vault for ten to twenty years and become my next car. LOL. I explained above why I wanted it. It's because it is something that I view as being something meaningful and special to me in a personal way since it represents the color of magic I adore more than any other which is green. I have kinda wanted one for the last 15 years. But, you guys might be right. I'll wait a bit. gonna take me till about march to pay off paypal for the card I just bought. lol.

Yeah that's a good call. Definitely hold off until you're in a stable financial situation.
