Misty Rainforest? Is it worth it?

A mate has a singular copy of Misty Rainforest, and he wants to sell it off because he's leaving Magic for a fair while.

Was just wondering whether it would be worth to pick it up, he's selling it for Star City worth, converted to AUD, someone else is interested so I can't really try to haggle

Fetches always hold their value pretty well as almost every deck in modern runs them

If you have the money to fork out and a deck you need it for then sure, the other option is you can trade it away for other cards you may need

Also even though it is a mate I would also check the condition of the card before agreeing to buy it, you don't want to pay full price for a card thats been played with no sleeves on a kitchen table for the past 2 years just because the guy selling is a mate

If someone else is interested, it turns into a question of whether or not you need it. It's not exactly speculation buying or finding a good deal, so it's up to whether or not you personally need it.

Miist,
No, he's asking a crazy asking price.

When buying a card from a friend, I almost always start bargaining at TCGplayer low, and we end up somewhere between low and mid. From someone I don't really know, I start just above 50% of TCGplayer mid (because they can get 50% from most of the LGSs here)

If you're talking about an Expedition Misty Rainforest, the SSG price is way above even TCGplayer high

When it comes to fetches remember Zendikar is always 4x more on average compared to khans
