Hero of Iroas expected to rise?

I've been running a U/W heroic deck I made myself from the common/uncommon box ($18 Aus). The one thing I feel the deck is really missing is Hero of Iroas, I can currently get him for $3.69 which for a play set works out to be $17.74 (conversion to Aus).

Is Iroas expect to rise in price or drop anytime soon? I don't have much of a budget to play with, as magic is only a secondary hobby to play with friends.

Looking at the price trend for the card over the last 8ish months, he stayed pretty much where he was and then went up a bit recently. I would think he'll drop again, but maybe not until close to rotating out of standard... Heroic is still a very strong deck in the Standard format now, with Jeskai Heroic doing interesting things.

Maybe wait until the new Fate Reforged set comes out in Jan 2015, that might affect his price as it'll be a whole new 1/3 of the Khans set making Theros block stuff less appealing?

Now should be his low until the summer if he doesn't fall off in play.

I would say he will stay the same until he drops a lot in the summer

$3-4 is likely its peak. Unless UW Heroic manages to take down a GP or another large event I wouldn't expect much of the price to change.

he used to be near bulk so this is prolly his high, everything from theros/m15 is going to continue to drop from here out

mckin that's incorrect. Prices should be going back up in about a month on playable Standard cards until the next lull in May.

Hero of Iroas is one of the few cards increasing in price during the holiday lull and a Standard card recommended as a "buy" by finance writers.

I'd say just cough up the 20 bucks. U can recycle old beer cans to come up with that. ...well I assume they recycle in Australia?

...If they don't recycle see if u can convince one of your more into the hobby friends to pick up a play set for u. I know as some one whose hella into magic, I'd cough up 20$ for one of my friends decks if I would be playing against it quite often. Hell, last rotation I bought a 2nd standard legal deck just for friends who weren't hella into the hobby to use at FNM.
