Currently sitting at 4.99 on SCG
the guy is good. Especially for aggro lovers. And I think mono black aggro is gonna be a great deck out the gate of new standard.
Buy now at preorder price, do you believe its just a hype move by stores and will "balance out" essentially

I think he will end up a little under Bloodghast prices if only bc he will be a little harder to bring back and you still have to pay to bring him back.

I think the one thing that may drive it's price (long-term I can't say) is the desire for playable, saccable humans for Aristocrats. I have heard complaints that zombies is the only way to play Aristocrats, and you'd get more out of Falkenrath Aristocrat if you had some more valuable humans to work with.
VampireArmy might be better to speak on that though.

He'll see aristocrat, dregvine, human tribal, and legacy zombardment play. I would clock him at cheaper than bloodgast but possibly a few extra dollars more than gravecrawler. Treat him like gravecrawler 5-8. Foils,foils,foils

Honestly I will probably go ahead and grab a playset, due to A) local aggro meta will probably have zero in stores B) be prices rocket up, which I predict happening for a little while.

I think this set is going to be opened a lot. I don't see many rares being especially expensive unless they end up seeing cross-format play, so I guess the question is whether or not I think Bloodsoaked Champion will see play in formats outside of standard and my inclination is to say no given the other incurable black creatures that older formats have available (thinking Gravecrawler and Bloodghast ).
I suppose this could get up to $10, but it would be very surprising to me. I'm seeing this as a $3-$6 card personally. Potential price point comparisons being Champion of the Parish , Firedrinker Satyr , Legion Loyalist , and Stromkirk Noble .
If you want it I don't see anything wrong with picking it up at that price, but you're probably paying a slight premium to get them early and I wouldn't be picking these up as a spec.
