There is a scam going around where guys are buying big money cards in bulk and are either:1. Asking for their money back, and returning a binder that is full of fakes instead of the originally sold authentic cards.2. Asking and not getting their money back. They then swap out half the book with fakes and going around to card shops and getting the sellers banned.

I had heard rumors about this, but didn't buy into it until it happened to a friend of mine. He has been buying and selling Magic cards for 15 years, and uses it as a source of income. He sold a guy about 2 grand worth of real cards to a guy, with an impartial witness present who verified the cards as authentic. The buyer then called a day later and asked if he could cancel the trade and get his money back, and my friend of course said no because he doesn't do resales. The guy then harasses him for a week and then goes to all the shops in the area and shows fake cards that my friend 'sold' him, and gets him banned from every store in Birmingham. He didn't sell fake cards. BIG MONEY SELLERS IN NORTH ALABAMA, ASK AROUND ABOUT BUYERS BEFORE SELLING YOUR COLLECTIONS, YOU COULD BE GETTING RIPPED.

Which stores in Birmingham? I'm from there and currently in Tuscaloosa. Where in North Alabama is this happening? Florence? Huntsville?

I've heard of it happening in Birmingham and the surrounding areas. You should be fine, but be careful.
