I am looking for specific lands to purchase, nothing obscure, the oldest one for example is from Onslaught, I just don't normally purchase singles online but my LGS does not have a catalog of lands to buy (nor would I expect them to), what do you use?

I would first shop around at different LGS's to see what they have, and if they don't, I would buy them from TCGplayer at HP/MP, that'll be the cheapest you can get them.

Some stores have land boxes for tournaments. If you ask the owner if you can go through them and grab what you want in exchange for depositing some unwanted basics, that could work as well. I did that with particular lands from M15.

If you're picky about condition, TCG is the best to get bulk. This is especially true if you want some of the more highly sought after basics. Something like Mirage mountain 304 comes to mind. Cuz, you know, fucking Jon Avon is a boss. If you want bulk though, be prepared to pay extra.

I like TCG player for finding specific older lands like you are looking for.

If you're looking for Foil basic lands, coolstuffinc.com has a pretty decent selection on basics. If you want non-foils, I'm not sure where the best place to buy would be.
