Deck Help forum

I'm interested in making a standard blue red deck that utilizes Molten Nursery. Blue in order to use Herald of Kozilek. I haven't made a deck list yet because I'm looking for help about how te deck would look. I want to keep it to two colors and semi-budget, so no Hangarback Walker for the time being. I'm interested in hearing what everyone's ideas are.

It's kinda different, but I have an deck concept that run Impact Tremors, and a bunch of token generator like Hordeling Outburst, Dragon Fodder, and Secure the Wastes. The effect is augmented further with Embermaw Hellion and Pyromancer's Goggles.

Needless to say, the deck didn't took off since it never leave its concept stage, but I hope it inspires you :)

magnetcrocodile thanks for the idea. However the deck I think of would be more focused on using lots of spells, contrary to your idea of getting lots of creatures.

Nettle Drone will definitely be a necessity since he and Molten Nursery triggers off of any colorless spells, of which some artifacts will help greatly. If you're in blue, lots of drawing will help you keep casting those spells. I would suggest splashing green for Temur colors, to give more options on sideboard and ramp for eldrazi. Impact Tremors could be good with the green scion creators, and it definitely plays in to the papercut theme of Nursery. Outpost Siege will also help keep your deck moving and give you more options.

I'll look It splashing free for more scions, it's mostly a matter of if I can cheaply wok the mana. In place of Outpost Siege, what what you think of Avaricious Dragon? If I played a few treasure cruise I could use the cards I drop in the grave.
