Planning to make a Knights tribal for Modern, Help out!

Deck Help forum

Posted on March 25, 2015, 2:54 p.m. by Kralug

So as the title implies, im looking to build a Knights tribal deck for modern. Now, what im looking for are strong suggestions for cards to build around. Im expecting White to be my primary color, but i'd be happy to splash another color in, if it even fits the Knight aspect.

Do you guys got any suggestions?

or red for things like Hero of Oxid Ridge

Agreed. A monoblack or b/r Haakon, Stromgald Scourge build is way cheaper and a lot of fun. Not as effective though

I did a b/w haakon Crib Swap and it worked well In casual play

Knights are my favorite tribe I wish they were more competitive. They're still fun to play though!

You can make it bant and add Rafiq of the Many. Selesnya would be best choice if you just want two colors Selesnya Charm, Knight of the Reliquary

Here's mine, if you want some ideas:

Like I said though I feel my mono white knight build on here is a pretty solid modern build look at it. But I think u should go selesnya (g/w)

I like the green splash for Rancor. Swinging with a 4/2 first striking, trampling, lifelink on turn 3? Suuuuure, I'll take that.

The big deal for green to me is Knight of the Reliquary and Qasali Pridemage and Selesnya Charm

Knight of Meadowgrain is really solid because it's a great source of life for the deck, which is pretty important when you want to run a bunch of fetches to pump Knight of the Reliquary. Also, if you really wanted a flyer, I would rather run Leonin Skyhunter. One extra toughness and no cost to give it flying is pretty good.

And my deck was primarily made for flavor. That's generally the point of tribal. That's why I run 1 Baneslayer - she's the queen of the knights in my strange mind.

Selesnya Charm is boss in a Knight deck.

-Knight of Meadowgrain

-a Hobbit on a goat

-GAY

-White Shield Crusader

-White Firebreathing

Consider Fiendslayer Paladin if you want lifegain. At least he isn't Pippin's sister.

Agree to disagree I guess

>"Netdecking"

>Implying these decks are built for high level tournament play

>Implying Hobbits don't kick ass

>Implying that a 2/2 lifelink first strike isn't one of the best bodies for a creature holding a Sword of Fire and Ice to have.

Assuming you're playing mono-white, Brave the Elements and Honor of the Pure are good options.
