I want to stand a chance at FNM, but don't want to spend much $ on this due to rotation.Baseball

Azorius heroic is a real archetype in standard. I highly suggest you check out MTGtop8 and look for Standard Azorius Heroic. Many of the pieces run by these decks aren't that expensive.

Thanks TheDevicer. I have but I wanted to make something that was more of my own creation so I built around Graceblade Artisan and ended up with an heroic deck. I needed something to fall back on if I didn't draw Graceblade Artisan or if she got removed. Heroic seemed like the only way to go.

I get you, but Graceblade Artisan is a little low on power. You can still make a deck revolving around him but it's gonna be mediocre at best.

White weenies with Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit. Simic tempo with Icefall Regent, Sagu Mauler and Force Away. I have lots of budget decks on my page if you need more inspiration.

You can usually run a budget RDW build every standard season and if you build it right it can almost always score you a few wins at fnm.

Oh lol, I have one. Its the only deck I've got but I'm getting tired of playing the same thing over and over again. I want to try something new. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I apologize, I didn't realize you were new to the game. Specifically, a Red Deck Wins deck runs how it sounds. It's mono red and it's usually so fast a lot of decks have trouble keeping up with it and lose to their strategy which is "Aggro," which is short for aggression, or aggressive.

As for composition you would usually run mainly 1-3 mana cost creatures that are above or on curve; for example as a one drop, Monastery Swiftspear is an excellent, above curve creature. For starters, above curve means that the creature is better than a vanilla version of a creature at the same cost (a 1 mana 1/1 or 2 mana 2/2 is what we call on curve, or vanilla). Now, swiftspear is a 1/2 for 1 with not only haste, but prowess as well. This is am obvious choice for any aggressive red deck across all formats, not just standard.

So like I said, the deck consists of mainly creatures with a mana cost of 3 or less, but we lack an actual win condition that way, so we usually run a 4 or 5 drop "bomb." In this standard season either Stormbreath Dragon or Thunderbreak Regent would be great choices, although they are quite pricey right now. When choosing your bomb make sure it has an immediate impact on the game as soon as it hits, such as being a 4/4 with haste and/or flying.

The final part of the deck is burn spells. These spells cost 1-2 mana and say "deal x damage to target creature or player" such as Lightning Strike and Searing Blood.

Then you fill up with 19-20 basic mountains and play it out a bit. You'll find most of the cards you want are relatively inexpensive and at the common/uncommon rarity. Cards like Goblin Rabblemaster and the aforementioned thunderbreak regent might not fit into your definition of budget so keep in mind that you're going to have to find replacements. Good luck building, hope I helped;and welcome to MTG.

you might want to try Lotus-Eye Mystics to return enchantments that were killed. Also, some bestow stuff like Hopeful Eidolon.

Check my deck !!! It works really well in the current meta and won't rotate. Plus, it's not meta at all and it is so fun to play, no RDW bullshit or other mono color aggro Break the Meta! Tempo Simic Morph-Manifest
