My planeswalker challange

Deck Help forum

This is a deck idea for a new format that will have the card limit of modern and standard but has more restrictions of edh heres the deck rules

Planes walkers challenge

  1. Only one of each walker (no you cant use a jace architect and a jace memory adept it is still jace in the end)

  2. Each walker can only bring 3 or fewer followers into the deck with him ( a multiple of one will count example Jace's Mindseeker and followers must connect to the walker in some way so example sorin and avacyn works)

  3. You can not use fewer than 8 walkers

4 library can not exceed 65 cards but must be at least 60 cards

Please take a look at my deck i am currently making and post me what you think of the challenge and what could make it more intresting or fun

Planes walkers challenge

Currently your "deck" consists of 8 planeswalkers and no backbone. This challenge seems a little inconsistent, having to have 8 different walkers with different types will be difficult. I think an 8 walker minimum is fine, but walkers should be allowed to be doubled up on. (Ie. Jace, Memory Adept and Jace, Architect of Thought in the same deck) Also, is there any prize or goal for this challenge? Will games be played out between the submitted decks? Maybe users vote on which is best?

Epochalyptik I'd assume this should be moved to the "Challenges and Articles" forum.

Jamesfurrow It's completely fine, this just seems more like a challenge...as the title implies. It's an interesting concept, I just think it could use a little refinement. It would be fun to play around a kitchen table, planeswalkers are always fun to play because of the antics that can be had with them.

I do enjoy the "True Superfriends" concept where there's only one walker of each type. Though requiring any creatures to be related to the walker is pushing it a bit. That really restricts your choices to a lot of bad cards and only a few good ones, and those good ones are amazing.

Well i said connected and gave the sorin avacyn example to say if they meet or r met in the story lines of the walker or r in a duek set such as sorin vs tibalt ill allow it

It still restricts it too much for me. I'd much rather use my Gilder Bairn s and Sunscape Familiar s in The Justice Friends than creatures that have to be connected to the walkers in some way.
