Deck Help forum

Hello! My name is Anthaney, I'm currently developing a Tiny Leaders Mill deck I have been working on for the past couple of weeks. Currently the deck has over 30+ games with it and everyday I've been play testing it and cutting cards and adding cards.http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/26-02-15-mill-tiny-leaders/

Lets over look the synergy the decks have.So In Tiny leaders the deck is 49 cards. The life points is 25. Mill players always have the rough time on dealing with decking an opponent because its double the life and more challenging. With Tiny leaders, they only play one copy.

Glimpse the Unthinkable This card is a instant mill 10. I always think of mill as another card game called "Dragonball Z"

Mind Funeral Mill until they hit 4 lands is insane in my opinion. Could back fire or go extremely well.

Crypt Incursion Helps with generating more health if you're getting beatdowned.Twincast Twincast has always been a top priority to synergy off with because of copying the spell like, Mind Funeral, Glimpse the Unthinkable and Mind Sculpt

Now lets go over the deck in complete detailed on its win conditions.

There is two ways the deck can win, beat down or decking.

Beatdown:

Jace's Phantasm - When getting 10 cards in a graveyard, it will become a 5/5. 5 turns and they at 0.

Milling:

So you all see mill cards I am currently playing.

How do draw into my mill better:

I play Thought Scour,Visions of Beyond, Pilfered Plans - These cards help draw into my win conditions and also help filter through my deck.

Whats the average win turn this deck has?

Mostly 6-10 which is a little fast and slow at the same time but I'll show you the early and late game strategy I have.

Early game: Waste as much gas as I can and hopping I draw well, because mill weakest part is drawing the right cards at the right moment. I can go for the mental game where they can get frustrated with the deck and how my play style is built. I've tested the deck on people and some of them get frustrated because of the casual feeling that they lose to mill.

Late game: Getting Increasing Confusion and Mind Grind with high mana cost. Increasing Confusion flashback times 2 the mill and Mind Grind is instant win condition for my deck because of the land filtering with Mind Funeral, Glimpse the Unthinkable.

Matchups:

So far my biggest weakness is Anafenza, the Foremost and other high aggro decks. I can mill them, but they have enough damage to tempo me out.

Another one is Runechanter's Pike because of the milling of the spells.

Varolz, the Scar-Striped - Varolz helps with the scavenge, but that's why I have Crypt Incursion and Bojuka Bog

The mirror match. This is one of the hardest because in order to win, you must draw better than your mirror.

I win against decks that are a lot slower and use combos to win, or I get really lucky with my opening hand.

I didn't really go over all the cards but be sure to check out the deck to see updates on tournament reports and updates of card changes!

To link a deck you take the bit after 'mtg-decks/' and put it inbetween two square brackets.

So:

((26-02-15-mill-tiny-leaders/))

Change each curvy bracket to a square one. ( becomes [ and ) becomes ]

Why not play the strictly better combo mill?

The lists vary, but its core is Ambassador Laquatus as commander.

The combo is 2 mana, Rings of Brighthearth, and Basalt Monolith to generate infinite mana, which you then pump into the Ambassador for the kill.

People then vary. Some go for a full control list with counterspells, and Laquatus as a clock. Others go for more combo-y with cantrips and remand and stuff.

So with my list right now, should I put those 2 cards in there, or rebuild the deck to be mono blue?

Thanks for the help! This combo is pretty solid.
