Mill Combo Help!

Deck Help forum

I need combos that put a lot of cards from an opponents library into their graveyard. Preferably combos that leave very few cards in their library. I haven't found any combos that have the capability to mill as much as Mirror-Mad Phantasm makes you self mill. I appreciate the help!:)

Do you need mill effects, or will library exiling work too?

Is the goal to just mill your opponent quickly? If so, take a a look at this: Infinite Mill (No Ascendancy). It's a standard infinite combo deck by Behgz that I found to be particularly effective.

If you're not up for the infinite combo, I'd go for "grind" effects like Mind Funeral. Also, shoutout to my favorite mill-based creature, Consuming Aberration.

Some other options include Traumatize and Jace, Memory Adept, which can both put huge chunks of cards into the graveyard. Also, to use Mirror-Mad Phantasm to your advantage, there's Psychic Spiral which turns your self-mill against your opponent.

Mind Funeral is a personal favorite. Depending on mana, Mind Grind was fun when it was in Standard, but its not easy to cast it for a high X

Duskmantle Guildmage + Mindcrank

Activate the first ability and get them to lose any life/send a card to their graveyard and its infinite mill and damage

My goal is to kill myself and others so that I can use Grimoire of the Dead, I forgot about Consuming admiration LabRattKing that would help a lot... I actually thought about using Panoptic Mirror and Traumatize, but it's a lot of mana... I can post a link to the deck later today

Chronic Flooding on your own lands, then use Psychic Spiral to mill them out. Play flashback cards like Think Twice and Snapcaster Mage to make the flooding more of a value engine that leads up to a big mill win off the psychic spiral.

Behgz I will definitely use Chronic Flooding but I don't want to use Psychic Spiral because I need cards to stay in my graveyard

Not if casting Psychic Spiral gets you the win on the spot, are we playing with our food here or are we winning?

Dark Deal is very nice. You can use Hedron Crab on yourself to mill out quickly. Glimpse the Unthinkable is very quick. You can also use Thought Scour as a 2-in-1 type deal. If you wouldn't mind exiling your own stuff, you could use the Paradise Mantle + Puresight Merrow combo to exile your entire deck, but I would only recommend it if you wanted to exile your stuff.

If you were going to mill your stuff, Consuming Aberration only sees your opponents graveyard, not yours.

I had a mill deck and if I drew the right hand I think it was a turn 4 win all you need is three cards Duskmantle Guildmage + Mindcrank + Altar of the Brood so turn one play Altar of the Brood then turn 2 play a land then play Mindcrank or Duskmantle Guildmage doesn't really matter then turn 3 play your last card so by turn four you activate Duskmantle Guildmage first ablitie and then play your fourth land and then boom you win. My friends always got pissed off with that mill combo I had but it was fun :)
