Looking for a white creature card that exiles

Looking for a white creature card that exiles non land permanents on the field.

It has that old border look. It is a creature small in cost and doesn't really have that much attack/defense. Also, its' exile ability you have to tap a certain amount of mana in order to do it.

I originally thought its' name was similar to Mother of Runes, but can't find it somehow.

I couldn't find anything matching those criteria for ANY colour of Creature.

Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim sort of comes close, but all the other Creatures in this topic are about as good as you're gonna get.

Yeah but I agree with Fiend Hunter and Banisher Priest.

My money's on Mangara of Corondor

To give some more detail. The card is older than banisher priest. You can use its ability as much as you want. You can exile anything PERMANENTLY on the field.

Also, the coverted mana cost has to be lower than 4, and just maybe it is a artifact.

Argy says... #13

See, we've only been searching Creatures.

False lead.

Why don't you just look it up in Gatherer?

May 7, 2017 8:53 p.m.

Arvail says... #14

An artifact?

Argy says... #15

Can't find it.

What you are describing sounds way overpowered.

Sure it exists?

Repeatable exile on a low-costed artifact?

Lol, I give up too because I can't find it. When I play against the card next time. I'll make sure to write it down and tell you guys the name of the card. Maybe it was a fake card this whole time...

I did a search for "exile permanent".

The only things that popped up that were close to what you said were Planeswalkers.

The longest search I ever did was through all the non-basic lands ever made... About planeswalkers that exile things: what do you think about the new Ajani Unyielding? He's helped me in EDH a lot, is a bit costly though.

This thread is the best.

Argy says... #21

Agreed. This is my favourite topic at the moment.

entheogeneral I think Ajani Unyielding, while useful in EDH, is too slow for Standard at the moment.

By Turn 6 the Opponent has flooded the field with Creatures, and the game is pretty much over.

Exiling one Creature at that stage isn't going to have much impact, and I can't see how filtering cards at that stage of the game is going to do much, either.

Ajani Unyielding might be better later in the season, if decks start to slow down and become more Control oriented, but at 6 mana I just don't see him having much of an impact. Not when you can play Declaration in Stone for 2 CMC.

You're right. Mono-Blue standard is where the fun is anyway. Are you ready for the new Bolas?

Just had a thought.

Are you describing Oblivion Ring or Myst?

You can flicker those to keep Exiling permanents or Creatures.

Argy says... #25

I'm as excited about Bolas as much as I was about the Eldrazi.

Not one little bit.

Although, it would be fun to smack him around, like my Allies did with the Eldrazi.

I think the "fun" at the moment is with UR Control by OAFMCNAMARA.

If by fun you mean playing a deck that someone else has put together, and is so easy to dominate with that a monkey could pilot it.

Do you remeber what the art looked like? That might help somewhat.

(Also I'm very excited to try out Ajani Unyielding in my new Abzan +1/+1 counter EDH deck)

How do you do that? TheDevicer, do you have to have an upgraded account to comment gifs/memes?

May 8, 2017 8:53 p.m.

Arvail says... #30

Nah. Anyone can do that. Take my above post. All I did was write this:

Did it now?

I have an Imgur account with tons of favorites that I like to post, so I have this giant library of gifs and pics to draw from. Basically, you need to live a sad lifestyle to post memes.

Is it Isochron Scepter?

You can imprint Swords to Plowshares, Path to Exile, Condemn, etc. etc. on it. Mirrodin artwork looks like this:

Ooooo interesting.

It does also have "a women on it", and is low CMC.

The border looks very old, as well.

Plus you activate its ability.
