I want to build a Commander deck using Jodah, Archmage Eternal as commander. Any tips/ideas?

Cast spells that cost more than 5 with a lot of mana fixing instead.

Jodah in a nutshell.

Painful Truths can be cast to either pay 3 draw three or pay 5 draw 5

Hey I just finished making and refining a pretty good (imo) jodah brew

To Infinity and Beyond I've written up a few things and explained why some things are win more. Have a look it might help give you an idea.i also have a turn 4 Primal Surge that uses Jodah but it's a bit more gimmicky

Some tips thoug;

  • turn 3 and 4 should be aimed at casting Jodah and then playing an impactful spell.

  • avoid turn 3+ ramp, lots of Jodah decks use the 3 and 4cmc ramps.. This is slow and only good if you're in a very casual game. But I really think that there's enough 0,1 and 2cmc ramp that we don't need to be slowed down.

  • Jodah decks are really bad at having win more cards where. Really think about how a card helps you when Jodah is offline. When Jodah is active we probably only need 2 or 3 things to win... So how can we play when he's offline.

  • Mana Doublers are really good, they basically have the same affect as jodah.. Not much of anything will be more than 12cmc in the deck.. Which with a doubler is only 6 lands. So they are great in a Jodah deck.

Anyway I wrote up, combos, tips and just a overview on my deck I linked. Have a look and if you have any questions why certain things we're dropped or why certain things are in ask away.

Fist of Suns seems like a good choice if jodah is offline, and redundancy in edh isn't a bad thing.
