So since Gerard Fabiano won that modern event with BUG Control, I built it. I love it.

Now I am willing to betray the color red, and put blue in my BGx decks for Modern States next weekend.

But I have on problem. I cut a land in the deck, to add either another Compulsive Research, a Remand or a Stubborn Denial.

which one should I add? which would be better to run? Your thoughts.

I'm assuming you are talking about Slaves to Substance?

I personally like the inclusion of Stubborn Denial, mainly since the meta will be very Burn/Twin heavy. Also it has the lowest CMC, which will help your curve a little after cutting that land.

for the lazy.

I like Remand. Tempo is nice.

Lol, thanks for linking...

I am currently running remand, which is nice sometimes.

But I do like the idea of a force spike early game and a straight up "nope" later.

I would put in another Cryptic Command. Remand tends to under perform in any form of B/U control and especially a sultai control shell. I'd leave it as a one-of. Stubborn Denial just isn't good enough for modern, I've tried. Compulsive Research is good as a one of, but not much more than that.

BGx with U seems like a strong idea. BGx has always been good, and everyone knows that Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver is great against midrange.
