I'm running Demonic Consultation in my
A Potent Brew Playtest
Casual

but I've found it hurts more than helps, can anyone explain the advantages of this card to me?
If you don't reveal the named card (perhaps because it was in the top six cards of your library), you'll end up exiling your entire library. You don't lose the game at that point, but will lose the next time you're instructed to draw a card.
Instant win with Laboratory Maniac + Anything that draws a card, if you name a card not in your deck.

Oh, did not notice that... Anyways, that is the only use for demonic consultation. Hermit Druid can be a demonic consultation, if you do not have any basics in the deck.

Boza Thanks, but I think its much more cost effective to keep demonic consultation, and I'd rather not make it all five colors.

You don't have enough money to play a real tutor like Vampiric Tutor, Demonic Tutor or Imperial Seal and so you have to play this low budget crap version of a tutor?
Advantage: it's super low budget.
