Card Recommendations For Modern Mono White Angels/Ally Deck

So I'm planning to build an Angels/Ally deck running Soldier of the Pantheon, Aegis Angel, Ajani's Pridemate, Hero of Goma Fada and Lifelink. I'm not really familiar with mono white so I need card recommendations!

Ajani's Pridemate needs his sisters, 4 Soul Warden and 4 Soul's Attendant.

Thanks man!Don't you think Soul Warden looks like Dita Von Teesse? lmaoAnywaydo you have recommendations for spells?

4 Path to Exile and some token makers, like Spectral Procession for your spells.

Consider black for Lingering Souls. Maybe you can find some inspiration from my B/W Sisters deck: Dark sisters :)

You might want to make it white-red, just for the allies

i like using the my W/U ally deck, gets crazy on milling when your whole deck is allies lol

Ondu Cleric gets insane with lifegain, add in Felidar Sovereign for a different win.

Maybe add in a Retreat to Emeria for ally production and some Intangible Virtue? if you add in a full place set of Intangible you could maybe run Sphere of Safety, up to you lol. Other token creators may be Doomed Traveler and Elgaud Inquisitor

Another angel may be Angelic Skirmisher

non-angel/ally creatures to add might be Odric, Master Tactician, Wall of Reverence, and Sunbond

If you are just playing casual Modern, that is all well and good. If you are trying to build a competitive Modern deck, monowhite so far has not held up well. Others have already given you the tech for the Soul Sisters archetype, largely centered around Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant, and Ajani's Pridemate. It is a fun deck, but it is not an especially winning deck.

If you are playing monowhite, you need 4x Path to Exile. There is simply no substitute for that in Modern.

While I love cards like Soldier of the Pantheon, I have tried to build an archetype which I call Whitejack around the idea of 2/1 one-drops backed by Honor of the Pure and Guardians' Pledge. Left to its own devices, it is capable of delivering 20 or more damage by turn four 80% of the time, but it is not going to be left to its own devices. Things get killed, and the deck just gets owned.

Aegis Angel is the kind of card you play in a control deck. Hero of Goma Fada has too high of a C.M.C., and casting Lifelink is just begging your opponent to kill the target creature before the enchantment even resolves.

I love white. I have played monowhite Soul Sisters, which performed poorly. My Whitejack effort was not even playable after testing, though it would be great in a casual environment.

If your environment is casual, you might want to try a simple Whitejack:

4x Soldier of the Pantheon
4x Dragon Hunter
4x Mardu Woe-Reaper
4x Dryad Militant
2x Elite Vanguard
2x Expedition Envoy
2x Kytheon, Hero of Akros
4x Loyal Pegasus
4x Path to Exile
4x Honor of the Pure
3x Brave the Elements
3x Guardians' Pledge
20x Plains

This kind of deck is non-interactive, to its downfall. Even WB Tokens, a deck which used to produce some decent results in Modern, needs Thoughtseize, Tidehollow Sculler, etc. to pick the opponent's hand.

That looks great man! I just need to find more Angel cards since this is an Angel/Ally deck. Thanks! _

I'm not going to use it competitively since I already have a kick-ass Rakdos deck but I might take it to FNM one day.

That build looks great! I'm hoping to use more angels though. Any recommendations for Angel cards? Thank you!

Firemantle_Mage, I have difficulty recommending angels because I typically play cheap weenies decks. For angels, you kind of want them for the late game when you are playing control. White has a lot of control options, but again, it is pretty slow for Modern.

Baneslayer Angel is prety nice.
Restoration Angel is very popular, but it is used in combination with Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and not very useful for monowhite, I think.Path to Exile
Journey to Nowhere
Oblivion Ring
Banisher Priest
Day of Judgment
Ghostly Prison
Circle of Protection: Red

Also, for that Whitejack decklist, if you are short a creature or two, Savannah Lions is good filler, and you can always up the count of Expedition Envoy or Elite Vanguard, especially if you are short on Kytheon, Hero of Akros.

God damn. Those angels don't come cheap at all. I'll just use Aegis Angel. lol
