Im trying to build a Modern deck since at the shop i used to go to had standard canceld multiple times due to lack of ppl for it.Probs guessed it already but the mayority plays Modern now.

So i wanted to build a deck so i can i can atleast play if Standard gets canceld again.

Aiming for the Modern Age.

Currently its a grixis deck(dunno if its any good) build with what i have at home.Cards that are in my list atm that i lack are 4Lightning Bolt, 3Inquisition of Kozilek and 2Keranos, God of Storms.

Issue i have is while the deck itself seems good to me a issue i encounter is that it still feels to slow to me.Since all my life all ive ever heard is that Modern is a turn4 format.

So i figured lets test it against my Monored Goblin deck witch was standard at the time i started playing. It could get t4 wins pretty consistend. It didnt go very well...

Currently i have 150bucks to get more cards this includes the cards mentioned above(if there a must). What should i do???

You're combining a lot of different strategies and using some inefficient removal (that can easily be replaced with other low-costing, more efficient cards). I think you're best option is to port over to Grixis control.

Grave Titan and Lone Revenant are too slow for Modern. Counterflux is mana intensive and not that great, Mana Leak and Remand (and Cryptic Command) are your go-to counterspells.

Devour Flesh, Go for the Throat, and Dreadbore aren't that great for removal. Terminate and Kolaghan's Command are much better.

Keranos, God of Storms is best in the sideboard.

I understand that Snapcaster Mage doesn't fit your budget, but basically any control deck in Modern wants at least 3 of him. You'll be OK at an FNM level without him, but I'd work towards picking them up.

Go for the Throat isn't /bad/, it's just not as good as some other stuff!

Get your Mana Leaks and Terminates first. Try to get some Goblin Dark-Dwellers then.

Can someone explain to me whats so good about Remand? Yes it get counterd but said card returns to their hand just to be recast.

I picked Dreadbore since it can deal with planeswalkers. I couldnt find anything that could do that next to Hero's Downfall. Are planeswalkers not played as much?

Remand means you spend 2 mana and they skip a turn. If they tap out on turn 2 for a Tarmogoyf and you remand it then they basically didn't get a turn.

Planeswalkers are only played in 2 decks really. Both of them are pretty expensive so you're not as likely to see them at a casual level.
