Hey all.
So I've fallen in love with brawl. It's been a great way to interest my friends in playing magic since the decks are so cheap compared to commander. That being said, I wanna make a deck that takes it up a notch.
Currently my LGS holds Brawl tournaments (they're at noon so I like to say "It's BRAWL NOON") and while the decks I made to play against my friends learning to play performed admirably, I just can't seem to snag the first place in my pods and 3 packs.
I want to change that. I put together this list out of cards I own. I want some ideas on how to upgrade it and make it into a real force to be reckoned with. So far it's performed very well against my friends decks, but like I said, so did my other decks.
I'd like to keep cards to a budget of max $15 and still make this deck as strong as possible. Some cards on my Radar are Lyra Dawnbringer and Huatli, Radiant Champion, other than that and maybe some land upgrades I'm lost. Thoughts?
Huatli is better than Shalai as commander me thinks.
Amoncats (amonketh cats) slot right into it and you get to play all of 's mana accelaration and token genration.
Leonin Warleader, Regal Caracal and Pride Sovereign should all be on your list.

15$ per card, not all together. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

Huatli could be a good commander, but she feels really weak when behind. She started out as commander of this deck but after trying her (proxied) I decided she didn't feel right.
The ahmonkats will find a place here for sure and the new m19 cat will too!

Sadly it's brawl so I can only use Green, White, Colorless, and Greenwhite cards.

Unless you change your deck completely, because blue is a really fucking annoying color especially if you are running the new tezzeret. How about that creature where whenever you cast an artifact spell create a thopter! Etc there are so many things you can do for blue! I just got that sphinx from m19 to where whenever I attack with a flying boy I draw a card for each one!

now is your budget including or excluding the Commander?
