Hello, I've recently decided that I want to build a black/green deck but I'm not sure where to start. I only play with my friends so there is no limitations on cards and such. I'm really just looking for ideas as to where to start or anything interesting with black/green. Anything helps. Thanks!

Are you open to buying prebuilt decks? The BFZ event deck is ?

Atony1400 I mean, I'm not opposed to it, but I was really trying to build something more myself than buying a prebuilt deck. But I'll check that out.

Ah, I understand. The deck is generally a graveyard filler deck, like most GB decks are.

I was going to say you should also check out madness varients, but then I remembered the price of Grim Flayer.

Standard, modern, legacy, EDH?

For standard you have the Dark Petition/Seasons Past loop, as well as a ton of delirium cards, or the option to play around with something using Everafter and the Green Self Mill cards. There is a GB lands deck possibly too, with the mill a land get an insect enchantment, Splendid Rec, big stuff and self mill.

LeaPlath I'm just playing with my friends and we don't have a rule set, really. It's pretty much anything goes. I'm really just looking for inspiration/some interesting stuff in green/black that I can build off of.

Personally, I love G/B Aristocrats. My decks use cards like From Beyond and Nantuko Husk to get a really big creature and make it unblockable with cards like Rogue's Passage. Then I have other synergies like Smothering Abomination to get more value from sacrificing. I play casually with my friends also, and I've loved G/B Aristocrats.
