I think building a wall deck thats not in green or black would be interesting. No way to attack because no Assault Formation I believe, so wincons would be interesting....

Well just turtling until you can burn every one else out should work. Either that or just voltroning some creature and protecting it until it can finish the job.

Just doing a pillow fort turtling kinda thing till you can burn everyone else out could work for the wall deck. That or Vent Sentinel

Za'ah is my favourite.

I have a bit of issue with the hybrid mana one. The deal with hybrid mana is that it should be possible to see any given abilities the card may have in either colour. First Strike will be much more prevalent than Vigilance and you will not see Lifelink on a W/R creature. I think that while the draw ability is cute, it doesn't fit into white's portion of the color pie (currently.) Red gets the "exile this card" recklessness of it...but most of white's draw is essentially a cantrip. I'd like to see something more within what white can do rather than what they could do.

Huh, I had no idea that there were so many things that let walls attack...I think I need to make a walls deck...

I feel like the initiate is a bit too strong. Prowess on a 2drop can rack up commander damage really quickly. Maybe if it didn't have evasion?

M a g i c a l H a c k e r, I do like these creatures very much, especially the wall, but why did you give this thread the title that you gave it? Do you believe that WotC has made very few really good red/white legendary creatures, thus far?

GreenGhost says... #15

All of the red white legendaries are aggro based so far. There needs to be some level of diversity.

The cards you made tap into interesting design space, but most are quite broken for their CMC.

Dd, actually there are a few that I really like, notably Basandra, Battle Seraph and Brion Stoutarm, but currently, Boros is struggling to keep up with all the other two color combos in providing diverse options for deck archetypes to take advantage of, and I hate how they got such a boring designs in C15. I just wanted to prove that the designs are bad, not the colors.

I think the thread title's right on, though. Without considering the power level of these hypothetical creatures, they do seem to do W/R things. They're not really off-color, but do things existing Boros legends don't. WotC has kind of pigeon-holed Boros as only doing the things where both colors overlap completely, and isn't even that adventurous within that area.

What Boros needs is commanders that do stuff other than "punch people in the face". Sophronia, Boros Tactician would be a huge game-changer. The first ability fits white flavor, the second fits red, and Boros desperately needs a commander that generates card advantage.

Honestly, I'd have been excited just to see a commander that does the "exile the top card of your library" thing in some fashion. We don't even get that, which is sad.
