Is this card too good?

Inspired - When Inspiring Vantage becomes untapped, scry 1.
just an fyi: Inspiring Vantage is already a card... but yeah the effect is super broken. I second the life loss point.

Actually, I'd add the life cost to the scry ability, like "Whenever you untap ~, you may pay 1 life. If you do, Scry 1."

What if it produced colored mana like Mana Confluence and then had the "Whenever you untap this land, you may scry 1" ability?

I think making it produce mana of any color would make it even more busted. Mana Confluence is already a very good card without any other abilities. I would suggest keeping it colorless and adding the life cost suggested above to the scry.

I thought by making the life loss mandatory it was an even greater downside. So the mana is painless but if you tap it, you will lose a life when it untaps.

yes, because the scry trigger resolves before the draw step. I would add some sort of pain effect so there is a cost to the scry. for example,
and pay 1 life: add to your mana pool.
