Creeping Death and Gathering Sunlight

Custom Cards forum

I recently conceived ideas for two cards: one that represents death slowly and horribly creeping upon creatures, the other portraying powerful light gradually making creatures more powerful, and here are the results of my work:

Creeping Death Show

Gathering Sunlight Show

The idea of the first card is that as long as its controller is willing to make one of their own creatures weaker, they shall make all of their opponents' creatures weaker, and the idea of the second card is that as long as its controller is willing to make one of their opponents' creatures more powerful, they shall make all of their own creatures more powerful. Please note that the second ability of each card triggers no matter how the appropriate type of counter is placed on a creature, either from the first ability or other abilities, so they work well with strategies that make great use of such counters (and also would be great with either Incremental Blight or Incremental Growth).

As a side note, I named creeping death in honor of the song of the same name by Metallica, as that is such an awesome song.

What does everyone else think of these cards? How are they?

Sorry, I'm going to be a Grammar Nazi. Please, everyone, stop misusing the word SHALL. In your paragraph, the correct word to use is WILL. Rant complete.

You might wanna make them 6 drops or higher or make it 2 counters on target creature per counter on another creature. I can name any number of cards that that would love having these in a deck with them and would love using them.

The first card is pretty much an automatic one sided field wipe by turn eight, and in EDH it will cause cards with death triggers that are useful any number of powerful bombs. Not to mention, Necroskitter suddenly being able to steal entire fields. Or can be highly detrimental.

The second card could just end up being way too many counters in the right deck. For example, Cytoplast Manipulator suddenly is a lot more powerful, or you could just target a creature then cast Pacifism or remove it, while your creatures continue to get huge. In token decks, it could be a horribly destructive force.
