I've been messing with this idea in my mind after playing with Yisan, the Wanderer Bard for some time.

, Tap: Put a () counter* on CARDNAME, then search your library for a creature, instant, or sorcery card with converted mana cost equal to the number of () counters on CARDNAME, and cast it without paying its mana cost, then shuffle your library.
Is it a little OP? Or is it a bit weak? Any other thoughts?
- I can't determine the name of the counter. Maybe a story counter? page counter? I don't know at the moment.
3 mana pull out counterspell, flash in creature, flash in sorceries like discard spells (respond to them tapping City of Brass or fetching a land, Inquisition of Kozilek looks like youre not casting that spell). seems like a fun card. will draw hate immediately. you've essentially made a better/costlier version of yisan. you just added red and blue to make it so it could grab instants and sorceries. and 1 more to the casting cost. you're not too OP if that's the worry. however had you said "MAY put a counter on this card" that would have been OP. this now becomes a way to enable combos like Living End, cascade Restore Balance etc. it could also pull out Ancestral Vision. or repeatedly grab certain cards that you know you have a lot of. etc.

Flavor-wise, his ability sounds more Shaman than Rogue. I know Yisan, the Wanderer Bard is a Rogue, but the instant and sorcery clause sounds Shaman to me.
That being said, this is almost identical to Yisan except that it's more flexible and color-restricted. I feel like he could have something like "If you cast a creature spell this way, give that creature haste until end of turn" without him being too busted.

Yisan is already busted in 1v1 edh, he was banned infact. This card seems very broken.

I suppose it sounds more like a shaman. I wasn't sure about the rogue type at all. I'll fix it.
It's a card that will draw hate the same way Yisan already does, so ways to protect it are essential.
Yeah, this will get banned 1v1, but I don't play French, just regular, where this card belongs.
I am considering changing the wording so instants and sorceries are cast while creatures just ETB.

I think its good, but I don't know much about card balancing or whatever. I like the fact that you still cast the spell, instead of just putting it on the battlefield. Lets you get the when you cast effects.
hmm. I cant seem to think of a name for the counter either...
