Xenagod or Omnath?

I'm looking to build a deck that I can hand to people who are new to the format and/or the game that isn't to complex and can help them learn the rules and interactions. I think gruul is a good way to go because it can be pretty easy to play but I can't decide on whether I should go with a Xenagos, God of Revels beat down deck or an Omnath, Locus of Rage lands deck. Thoughts?

Xenagos, God of Revels as the general with Omnath, Locus of Rage in the 99. Inexperienced players will have more fun pumping and swinging with hulks than trying to chain together insane amounts of tokens.

Xenagos, God of Revels is a lot more fun. Try slamming an Hydra Omnivore pumped by Our Lord God into an opponent's face and slap a Fatal Frenzy on top of that (Berserk if you're made of money).

I'd say Xenagos. Bonus points for running the Walker version in the 99. Omnath is a great addition too. Might I also suggest Mina and Denn, Wildborn, AEther Charge & Ezuri's Predation?

Xenagod for sure. Though I'm personally not a fan of AEther Charge or Ezuri's Predation in the deck as it encourages what I feel isn't the best line to take with it.

Thanks for the responses:). I figured xenagos was probably the better way to go but I wanted to see what everyone else thought b/c i've never built a deck for newer players before. I'm gonna go with xenagos and i'll post the list when i'm done. Also, are there cards you would recommend I keep out? For example, would Urabrask the Hidden and Tooth and Nail be too much or not?

In my opinion, Xenagos is a little better simply because it has indestructible. It's usually an enchantment, which makes it hard(er) to remove. It also is a haste enabler, so you never have to tap out, slam a fatty and not attack with it, you know? After playing with Omnath, I have learned that he is really vulnerable to cards like Evacuation and Cyclonic Rift because he doesn't have ways to really continue playing lands that he already has on the table.

I would not run any card that tutors for something other than a land in a deck you plan to specifically lend out, as tutors are best when you know what you are going for ahead of time. Otherwise it slows the game down too much, which annoys opponents and can make the person tutoring feel bad.
