Tree of Perdition in Mimeoplasm

I have two main questions. One, do you guys think tree of Perdition is worth it in mimeoplasm. It seems like an OK card to knock someone out of the game really quick but I'm just getting back into edh so I'm not sure. My second question is if tree of Perdition works with necrotic ooze. The trees ability names itself so I'm thinking it doesn't work, but if it does that would be at least interesting. Thanks for any help you guys can give.

While I don't know about your deck so can't comment, I can tell you that if a card refers to itself in its ability text, it is short hand for "this card". So if Necrotic Ooze got the ability it would work.
