I'm trying to figure a good gimmick/theme for my next edh deck. I don't really want like a super tribal deck, but just something funny and creative. Any ideas?
Ok maybe elementals. I'm not a huge fan of Horde of Notions but I think an elemental deck might be really fun.

You could play a Melek, Izzet Paragon deck with only instants and sorceries?

I already got a Melek, Izzet Paragon deck lol. I use him in a red blue deck.

Norin the Wary. Nothing like a commander that runs away from his army any chance he gets. Take advantage of constant free triggers on a wide range of stuff. He doesn't really do much, yet he does a lot.

How about group slug with Mogis, God of Slaughter or Kaervek the Merciless. Also, Esper Control could be fun using Merieke Ri Berit or Sen Triplets. Another fun one is artifacts with Daretti, Scrap Savant or Slobad, Goblin Tinkerer

no. an idea that trumps all is Countryside Crusher. That or Storm Crow. not even kidding on the former

Borborygmos Enraged can farm too.
He was just minding his own business when those pesky critters started to dig up his crops again. MAKES HIM SO ARGHHHHH.

lol I actually figured something out. It's called nothing but removal with Shauku, Endbringer as the general.

build a deck where every nonland card matches the commander's color identity AND converted mana cost.

Goblins, Faeries, or my personal favorite Artifacts with Karn, Silver Golem leading the way!!

I have a funny Ashling the Pilgrim Elemental tribal deck that's whacky. But if you want to go the Elemental tribal route, nothing is crazier than Horde of Notions Elemental tribal.
