Should I make my deck a primer?

So my deck built around Liliana, Heretical Healer  Flip has broke 105 upvotes today.

  • I've been considering making it a primer, explaining how the deck works and why the cards I included where included, but I'm not sure if it's my place to basically say "I'm an authority on Liliana, Heretical Healer  Flip edh decks.
  • I also don't know what the actual purpose of a primer is, other than show off, and be a guideline for those who may follow in your footsteps (and make a deck around the same general).
  • I feel that if I primer-fied my deck I'd get more accurate feedback, in addition to helping out the people who wan to build around Lili, but I'm wondering if I should even bother...

The only issue is that people don't usually build primers for good-stuffs decks.

I would think primers are less for edh decks and more for 75 card constructed decks mainly because they tend to include the sideboarding options and deck match ups its more than just saying why you include each card thats more of a deck description. Also if you were to do this with an edh deck I feel like it would just be 99 lines of this card interacts well with liliana....k great...lol. Im basically just saying that I dont think it would be worth your time if someone has a question they can always ask you.

From my deck building experience, a primer is almost always a in-depth guide on the "netdeck" for a commander with reasoning for why each card is optimal in the deck, alternative cards you could run, how the deck operates, why you should play the deck, etc.

It is basically an essay to the reader that says "Here is X commander, and here's why you should play it. This is what it's capable of, and here's why."

However, I think a primer is just really a very in-depth guide on your deck. This means explaining:- How to play the deck- How the cards work- Why each card is in the deck- Alternative options to the cards in the deck- Matchups (Only really relevant in 1v1)- Weaknesses/Strengths of the deck- Etc

You can also find the "official" MTGSalvation guide What do I need to make my thread a primer?
