So, I'm working on a Savra, Queen of the Golgari deck, and I'm wondering what are the right amount of creatures to have with such a deck? I know creatures are needed to make good use of her abilities, but I don't want to throw too many in

Instead of running lots of creatures, consider adding in things that will make creatures for you, like Bitterblossom. This way you will always have sacrifice fodder without needing lots of creatures.

Yea...I thought of that, but I'm not sure if I want to take that big of a hit on one card right now. 39$ is not pleasant.

As lemmingllama said, you might be better off running a few creatures but also stuff that generates tokens. Things like Creakwood Liege are really good because they make creatures that are both black and green. Ultimately your deck will be more heavily creature based than some, but you will want to abuse token production as both stax and a win con (like infinite beats / some sort of Blasting Stationesque win con). for an actual number, maybe 30-32?

Just confirming, you're building the deck around the black creature sacrifice mechanic more than the green right? Because if not, you should be.

Yea I am, right now most of my Green is either Recursion, like Eternal Witness or just good overall Avenger of Zendikar and Acidic Slime

Do you have a deck list as a starting point?

If you're going to be sacrificing a lot you could probably use a Conjurers closet.

Conjurer's Closet bounces. there is very little synery with sacrifice mechanics.

I have a savra deck as well and have found that having creatures that have sac abilities attached to them already goes a long way towards helping. Things like Disciple of Bolas, Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, and Skullmulcher are pretty great.
