Rubinia Soulsinger as a commander?

I been thinking on how to make a commander deck based around Rubinia Soulsinger that uses a lot of sacrifice affects to benefit me. Any ideas where to start?

Meaning that you want to sacrifice their creatures as pseudo-removal? I think you're better off just taking them and bending them to your will, don't you?

There are plenty of sacrifice outlets for Black, and Merieke Ri Berit is just better than Rubinia in my opinion. With her, you don't even have to have a sacrifice outlet if you're done with the creature. She just kills it.

If you're hellbent on running Bant rather than Esper, then this thread on MTGSalvation should help you decide what sacrifice outlets to run.

Rubina is a fine commander, and with Greater Good and Birthing Pod she gets degenerate. I don't know that I would base the ENTIRE deck around it though, theres just not enough good things to make it work. As a package/engine in the deck however, its pretty good.

Life's Legacy and Momentous Fall are also fun.

cards like Nephalia Smuggler can allow you to untap rubinia and keep the cards permanently

Deadeye Navigator and Conjurer's Closet also allow you to keep their creatures. If you want to sac their creature to let's say Ashnod's Altar or Phyrexian Altar to land a big spell or just do mass removal you can use Thornbite Staff to repeatedly tap and untap your general :)

Might as well throw a Bribery in there too. I'd just base the deck on stealing everything. I've played a deck based on her before, it's vey fun. Your friends may hate you eventually though. But that's just normal in EDH.

I can't play my Ruby deck too often, its removal is a bit too efficient if she gets going and it's oppressive. The "search opponent's library" cards are alright but they were a little too expensive for me to experiment with; I suspect though, based on how the rest of the deck went, they'd make it overwhelming. Some things I was using with her though:

City of Shadows + Prophet of Kruphix + Rubinia Soulsinger lets you steal+exile a creature every turn, while building up counters on the city. In case you needed more mana? This very quickly, when I was playing it, prevented anyone from getting creatures into play and keeping them for a couple rounds (I also had Glaring Spotlight and Karn, Silver Golem in play).

Karn, Silver Golem + Rubinia Soulsinger lets you steal artifacts.

Djinn of Infinite Deceits + Rubinia Soulsinger lets you shuffle the board around; though note the Djinn can't trade Legendary creatures. Ruby borrows a 1/1 token and you trade it up for a Darksteel Colossus or whtaever.

Assault Suit + Rubinia Soulsinger gets weird. You can pass around somebody's creature even if you let Rubinia's control lapse, since the ability to pass things around is part of the suit, and the controller of the creature doesn't control the suit.
