Pseudo EDH staples

So I haven't been playing for very long but in my time I have noticed some cards that are great in just about any deck and have become staples in my decks.

A few I have really grown a liking to:

Mirage Mirror. So versatile.

Sandstone Oracle. Refill your hand and possibly more. Great little beater and blocker.

If running : Void Grafter. Throw out a body to save another for pretty cheap.

A new one: Forge of Heroes.

Your turn. I want to know what you guys deem 'staples out of the ordinary'.

The Chain Veil any time you have 4 or more walkers or a walker in the command zone I would strongly recommend this card. Admittedly it has flown out of most people's budget which makes me sad...

Crypt Ghast in any mono or deck.

I love Praetor's Grasp, it's my favorite combo killer. Stripping it right from the deck befor they get to it. Or getting the best card from their deck for your deck.

I also love Vicious Shadows this one is a really bad time for anyone with a large hand size. And remember its any creature. And then any player. So good love this one.

Homeward Path this is more of a metta call. As everyone has blue steal your stuff

Thaumatic Compass  Flip ensures lands drops. And then turns into a very useful land that acts a lot like a Maze of Ith

Vicious Shadows is just plain disguising with prossh!!
Mirage Mirror is super sweet aswell!
Thalia, Heretic Cathar, Tower of the Magistrate and Fiery Confluence are some cards I've never seen other people run for some reason.

Chromatic Lantern if your deck has more than 2 colors; Gilded Lotus works great even for 2 color decks!

Commander's Sphere - i have it more often than Sol Ring in my decks.

Boompile is better than Nevinyrral's Disk 75% of the time.

Every color has draw: Mind's Eye.

I like that Mind's Eye! Another one that just came to mind is Navigator's Compass for some on the fly mana fixing.

I run Conduit of Ruin in all my non-blue EDH decks. I include Sandstone Oracle and Kozilek, the Great Distortion as colorless ways to get card advantage that are tutor-able. I call this my Conduit package, and I love it, and I suggest it to anyone who is having trouble Ramping and Drawing cards. (Lookin at you )

I've been running Buried Ruin in most of my decks lately. It's fairly cheap and most decks have some good artifacts to recur.

Kiora's Follower is super good, since it says "permanent". Synergizes well with Karoo lands.

I put Elgaud Shieldmate in a non-negligible amount of decks, since my meta is heavier on spot removal than board wipes. I also love Canopy Cover and Alpha Authority for these reasons.

Varolz, the Scar-Striped is a great card if you want to be the first to recover from a board wipe.

Colorless cards I love are anything that grants hexproof/regenerate (Ring of Xathrid, etc), Hedron Archive and other dual-purpose ramp, etc.

But I actually, apart from the colorless ramp, tend to not run "staples", so that each of my decks feels fresh and unique...

Also, check out Plaxcaster Frogling and Simic Charm for hexproof at instant speed. The Simic colors are really good at that.

Also Shielding Plax just seems to fit right in with all the cards landofMordor mentioned

Another card I throw in every deck is Artisan of Kozilek

Rakdos Charm is probably the most underrated card in EDH. Each of its three abilities completely destroy a different archetype in commander: Graveyard decks, artifact decks, and token decks. All three of which are very popular strategies. I make sure to run a Rakdos Charm in every deck that has red and black, and I think it should be considered a staple for EDH.
