Everyone knows that EDH players love to foil their decks so why is it that wizards doesn't print the new Commander cards in foil? They did a special print run for the original Commander set so why no foils since?

A foil Meren of Clan Nel Toth would be awesome.
They likely don't foil the commanders just because it would drive the price of them up further. (More desirable)

@vault They weren't judge promos, they were from the Commanders Arsenal.
@Ohthenoises I don't know about that, it's not like regular foils where they're rarer than the non-foils. The number in circulation wouldn't be affected so the supply and demand shouldn't change.

There's also many players that don't like foils, so having every copy be foiled could turn some people off.

And this ladies and germs is why you should pick a commander who isn't pre-con. For that sweet-sweet foil goodness. Although, I can't really talk, I own Karador, Ghost Chieftain as the judge foil.

My favourite and only precon commander is Daretti, Scrap Savant and I would positively hate it in foil.

@DarkMagician because I think the card is too dark for the foil to be very good. The shadows on him would be hard to do correctly.

Do it better, get a precon commander altered by the artist and call it good =)

That special print run was the Judge foils. Perhaps future Judge foils will be commanders. I really just need Ghave and I'm good.
