So I heard you like fast games? Here's how you play your entire library in a single turn. You need three cards to set this up: Your General and two artifacts.

Here's what you do:

  • Play Atla
  • Equip Thornbite Staff
  • Pay and create an Egg
  • Sac Egg to Ashnod's Altar
  • Bring creature into play from library
  • Float
  • Atla untaps thanks to Thornbite Staff
  • Spend to create another Egg
  • Repeat until you have played every single creature in your deck

Happy brewing <3

It even works out perfectly as an opening hand.

Opening hand: Forest, Mountains, Plains, Llanowar Elves , Sol Ring , Ashnod's Altar , Thornbite Staff and Concordant Crossroads as the first card drawn.

T1: Forest, Concordant Crossroads

T2: Draw a Forest, play the Plains, Sol Ring , Llanowar Elves , tap the ring and the elf for Ashnod's Altar

T3: Draw a Mountain, play the Mountain, use the Sol Ring to cast Thornbite Staff , use the lands and Llanowar Elves to cast Atla Palani, Nest Tender from your command zone, sacrifice the elf to Ashnod's Altar , use the to activate Atla, then rinse and repeat and get out every creature card in your deck.

Hey, nice combo.

Couple of things to note in the topic about this combo:

  1. Need a haste enabler for Atla if you want to do this combo the same turn you play Atla.
  2. Staff needs to be on the battlefield before you play Atla because you need Staff to recognize Atla when she ETB to equip her for free.
  3. The combo when adding a one drop haste enabler will cost seven mana if you want to do it all in one turn.

Couldn't Ashes of the Fallen and any sac outlet work instead?

Also you can make infinite eggs with Umbral Mantle and Mana Echoes .

Coincidentally if you have Ashnod's Altar / Phyrexian Altar and Wheel of Sun and Moon with Village Bell-Ringer / Zealous Conscripts as the only creature card(s) in your library you can cycle the loop infinitely.

Wheel of Sun and Moon generally seems good with this commander though.

StopShot, I'm not sure about Ashes of the Fallen . While it is true that all of the creatures in the graveyard are "Egg", it is equally true that they only become an Egg once they are actually in the graveyard itself. She cares about when the Egg dies - not when it is in the graveyard.

So it must be an Egg on the battlefield, first.

Umbral Mantle and Mana Echoes works, but you'd need a total of 5 Eggs already. This way, whenever another Egg enters you will generate mana, which will be enough to pay the , as well as the , cost. But yes, once you have all 5 Eggs you are able to now generate infinite tokens.

I'm not sure how your loop works. The tokens are permanents, but not cards. Once they hit the graveyard, they are removed from the game. Not sent into exile - rather they vanish from the game entirely; There is nothing to put on the bottom of your library. Though the untapping creatures are a nice addition to the deck if you lack the current boardstate synergy to do so.

Obviously Parallel Lives / Anointed Procession / Doubling Season are key to the deck.

You can also generate more value with Illusionist's Bracers as now you will get 2x Eggs for each activation in addition to getting two creatures for each one Egg dying thanks to the Triggered Ability. Since the Bracers don't care what kind of ability it is, it will trigger off of both.

Blasting Station will help you clear out Eggs, too. You get 2x Eggs killed off for free with each use, and it resets once your first looted creature comes into play.

I am looking for auto-pain cards that deal damage to target creatures. So far everything I can find asks for the damage to be based off of the creature's power, not it's toughness. Cards like Impact Tremors don't work because it's to each opponent and we want to be able to direct it specifically at our Eggs. Unfortunately, the only cards I know of that change subtypes to types of your choice are either going to be in Blue or Black , so we can't choose something like Dragons .

Sadly, the best cards to do this are also in black. Those are the anthems that give either your creatures or all creatures -1/-1. That'd kill the Eggs outright. Alas, we are not in those colors.

Goblin Bombardment is a two drop sac outlet that lets you sac an Egg and do 1 damage to another one.

Spawning Pit is another two drop sac outlet that has potential while also being a source of Spawn tokens which can become Eggs with Mirror Entity , Shields of Velis Vel or Volatile Claws .

Strionic Resonator can copy the whenever an Egg dies trigger letting you put two creatures onto the battlefield.

Eldrazi Spawn tokens are good with Mirror Entity who can turn them into Eggs until end of turn. You can sac a Spawn token to make one colorless mana without needing a sac outlet and when it's an Egg it triggers Atla.
