Need help picking a Commander to make an EDH deck

Hi, these are all the legendary creatures I have, and I'm looking to build an EDH deck with one of these commanders. I'm looking for the top 3 that are the best, most competitive and fun to play with.

Ruhan of the Fomori Numot, the Devastator Ephara, God of the Polis Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund Experiment Kraj Ulasht, the Hate Seed Brion Stoutarm

I am open to other generals as long as they are cheap to purchase, no more than $10.

Best general ever: Norin the Wary

Build it, you know you want to.

I'm having a ton of fun playing Roon of the Hidden Realm in my deck I'm About to Roon Your Day. He's competitive, especially in multiplayer, without being too annoying.

I love using Mayael the Anima and my deck is a good glimpse of how you can build it, it is definitely NOT budget just warning you now haha.

Anayalation!

Scion of the Ur-Dragon . All the fun with karthus. Plus you get a vintage combo that KOs everyone at the table simultaneously. I have a friend who plus it off t5 consistently.

Ulasht, the Hate Seed has soooooo much potential. I have my own brew of him and it gets nasty quickly. Its a blast and people don't see the potential until you pull out like ONE synergetic enchantment or artifact and are like ". . . fuck."

I have a pretty mean Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund EDH list I'm still tweaking. Played a few games with it and it's a blast. Not your typical Karrthus list, but you could do tribal Dragons. Lots of fun!

Karrthus is typically bigger than most generals, has Haste, and evasion. A 3 turn clock for Commander damage. He likes tons of ramp. Bear Umbra + Hellkite Charger is a sick combo. So is Squee, Goblin Nabob + Survival of the Fittest .

Kootaroo what is this combo with the Ur-Dragon that takes out the whole board?

I really depends on what you value the most. If you value competitive generals, the list is going to be different than the list of commanders which are the most fun.

If you are looking for some of the most competitive budget generals look at Azusa, Lost but Seeking , Eight-and-a-Half-Tails , Zur the Enchanter , Captain Sisay , Sliver Overlord , Azami, Lady of Scrolls and Damia, Sage of Stone .

Figuring out fun commanders is something that really depends on your play style. If you enjoy the element of Ruhan of the Fomori randomly attacking players forcing them to throw creatures under the Ruhan bus or take lethal commander damage then he is pretty fun. If you enjoy having buckets of tokens on the board than Trostani, Selesnya's Voice and Rhys the Redeemed are fun. If you enjoy playing lots of big green creatures then Azusa, Lost but Seeking is fun. In addition to these ideas there are lots of commanders like Olivia Voldaren , Grimgrin, Corpse-Born and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight which fill theme niches which you may enjoy.

Looking at prices, I guess Azusa, Lost but Seeking has gone up lately and is no longer really a budget general.

phc, my friend who runs Scion the Ur dragon has a combo based around the combo with Scourge of Valkas and Bladewing the Risen

Omnath, Locus of Mana is a pretty fun commander. He can be competitive to a degree. He is easy to play, and lean how to play.

Geist of Saint Traft is a great commander. He can be played control, pillow fort, voltron, or agro. He wins most EDH tournaments. He was sitting at $25 but after innastrad rotated he has gone down to $12. I know that is over your limit but....

Didgeridooda All types, I run an EDH deck with Nekusar, the Mindrazer that takes turn 5 or 6 to start doing what its supposed to, so to be honest I think I would want this deck to be quicker and more aggressive

My buddies Xenagod deck can beat you in 3 turns. I know it is not the fastest, but it is consistent. One of the best beat face commanders.

I run Omnath/Eldrazi I put a slash because I have almost all of them in there. I need to add some more ramp, but it is good.

Sounds like you are making a deck with green. Ramp the hell out of it. That will be a very different feel. Azusa, Lost but Seeking is probably the best mono green commander.

Tooth and Nail is a mush. Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger is great, but not as a general.

Mono black can also ramp out of control. Get off a monster Exsanguinate for the game. Ramp it up, draw a ton, toss out gary. It is a nice deck. I have not worked on mine yet, but it hits hard, and if I put effort in to it, it will be so much better.

Hope this helped.

A budget commander could easily be one of the Kamigawa Block Snake Legendaries. Sachi, Daughter of Seshiro , Sosuke, Son of Seshiro , Seshiro the Anointed , Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant ,Shisato, Whispering Hunter , all give for interesting potential. I've been considering building a deck based on Snake tokens using some of these, and it's quite a different build from what most people would probably expect from a mono-green deck.
