Need a direction for Obeka, Brute Chronologist

I love this commander's ability, and have wanted to build a Grixis deck, but I'm not quite sure what direction to go in. The direction I'm considering is a self/mill reanimation strategy with effects like Footsteps of the Goryo and creatures with Unearth and the new Encore abilities. Is anyone else building Obeka, Brute Chronologist, and what strategy have you been considering?

There are two ways to abuse the ability of that commander - negating negative abilities or politicking other players turns. Like, if someone is being attacked for lethal, you can give them the option to end the turn prior to damage. The rest of the deck can be similar politics-enabling cards. Heck, you can even make a stax deck and trade favors for allowing people to end their turn before the stax effects resolve.

The other direction is negating your own negative effects, using Obeka as basically Stifle. For example, Leveler has a devasting ability that should be negated, but it is quite under costed otherwise.

Red extra turn spells like Final Fortune are great as well as Underworld Breach. I would also consider Dramatic Reversal so it can be used as a "counterspell" when paired with your commander or even as an inf mana generator if you have Isochron Scepter.

GhostChieftain to expand on that, don't forget if you pair Last Chance or Final Fortune with the Isochron Scepter it becomes an extra turns loop with Obeka as well.

Below is a link to my own take on Obeka

Unfortunately last chance is a sorcery, so it isn't usable with sceptre. Final fortune is usable though.

Oops, good catch. But if you imprint Narset's Reversal on the scepter you'd be able to achieve the same result, just at the cost of an additional

Thanks for the responses! Based on the input so far, I think I'm on the right track. The lists I've seen have been heavily reliant on Sneak Attack and it's ilk as well.

GhostChieftain Underworld Breach might not work as well as other effects because it triggers on every end step, not just the following end step after ETB.

Breach with obeka and any extra turn spell makes infinite turns. Imo that makes it absolutely worth it. Either way it is a card with huge value regardless of that combo as long as you play cheap high value spells.

Not actually infinite, but enough turns to win as long as you can keep putting cards in the yard to be used for escaping your extra turn spell.

Can't you also focus on tap/untap abilities? also draw all you can and never discard. Angel's Trumpet seems fun, same with Avaricious Dragon, Blood Hound and Desolation. you can try to convince your opponents to use Obeka and you get to keep tokens made by cards like Flameshadow Conjuring
