I want to build a deck around Narset, Enlightened Master but can't think up of a deck that isn't a copy of one of my friends is making, which is to say, one that isn't shenanigans and extra turns

That's just how I make decks. Just replace the expensive stuff with cheaper stuff.

I'd say near infinite turns/combat phases is probably the best strategy (I'd even say it's the only good one since Narset does cost six, and you want to have a relatively immediate win).
If you wanna go voltron or group hug, Ruhan and Zedruu aren't bad at all.

Want to go in a fun route? I'm thinking about a creatureless Nauset deck so she can cast anything she flips.
