I have been mulling over the concept of mardu artifacts and was wondering if there is any real payoff to adding white and black to red artifacts (and if it can be done reasonably without adding blue). I feel like there should be something worth it since esper is so strong in artifacts.
I think it would be very strong with a graveyard strategy with artifact creatures.
Is it worth doing? Do you have any ideas for good payoff cards? Am I bull headed for wanting to try without blue for Breya, Etherium Shaper?
Like white artifact support is definitely out there. Especially in terms of equipment and equipping creatures. As for black, not as much but there are some useful cards.

Yes! RW artifacts with black splash for the strongest options (Marionette Master, Scrapheap Scrounger, Syndicate Trafficker, Herald of Anguish) can be so strong. RW has Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer, for example. This build does lend itself a little more to equipments and tokens, but that's half the fun!

Marionette Master is exactly the kind of payoff I was looking for. I think when I build this it will be with Alesha, Who Smiles at Death so I can actually just cheat the marionette master (and other combo cards) out. All those others that have been mentioned may make a spot too

Dispatch is a thing. Tempered Steel too. Honestly there's a fuckton of options in white lol
As the commander I'd maybe run Akiri, Line-Slinger and Tymna the Weaver
