Here's a chance to really embarrass yourself and admit to the community what you've spent on one deck. Feel free to share if there's a story of how it got there! Have fun! $$$
Once I stopped playing Legacy on any sort of semi-regular basis and built a cEDH version of Leovold, Emissary of Trest, I had very little time to actual play him before the ban-hammer fell, so I decided to double-down on a Sidisi-reanimator package instead, and have since started upgrading everything I could to foil versions. Now, with the sideboard included, the price-tag is pushing upwards of $4k, and I rarely even take it out of the deck box...kind of a shame, really.

I Atraxa Hate was built to have a turn 1 lock possible. Its about $3100. The store i used to play at is closed for repairs, but it used to be hated to the point people actually scooped as soon as they saw her. Shes not anywhere near tier one, and not the most consistent wins. But was hated more than the storm deck, enchantment tutor deck, or the I take extra turns cause my commander attacked deck. Which are in my meta, and are tuned better.
About to build my first legacy deck - elves, as I picked up a playset of cradles before the most recent spike. So that will prob easily top this deck in price.

I personally am a cheap ass, so my most expensive deck is either my Mina and Denn, Wildborn extreme rampdeck (Knock Knock Knock It's The Twins) or my Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker mill-walker deck (Mirko Vosk and his Friends present...). One was the remnants of an animar deck I built years ago and built up incredibly much and the other was a deck I built from scratch.

Chaining together a kill streak

This deck had really emptied out my wallet as I worked on it overtime lol. Although it only says 5k on tapped out, when it was at the version it was now (including foils), it was about 6k. When I first made this deck however back when dinosaurs roamed the earth...It was less than $400 with some cheap rares and few ways to win. Then I got better cards (and more expensive) such as Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon. and then I got the realllly expensive ones such as Mana Crypt, The Abyss (I got a screaming deal at $270 btw shout out to ebay lol), and The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale. At this point it was a little above 3k. But I decided it wasn't flashy enough for the amount of wins it got me. So I dropped even more money to get all the foils you see on it. leaving me at around 6k total. All in all, I think I spent more than 9k on this deck (if you wanna include past versions and non foils)
BUT IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!!!!!

This is my most expensive. I invested in it when I was going to school... so I had a little extra to throw around lol. Think it cost around $300 for everything I didnt have. It's value has increased since then though, so that's good at least.

My Animar deck Animar, Angry Hemorrhoid is currently my most expensive list at about $1500 but as soon as I pick up about 10 more cards (totaling less than $100), it'll be Muldrotha at $1850 Muldrotha's Madhouse (This one still needs help if anyone is up to the task)

I own everything except a timetwister and some random cards here and there to be bought soon. Decided to buy a modern deck instead. I'm debating between buying an Alpha twister for the deck or buying Kess splinter twin.

I've made expensive decks in the past, but this takes the cake and the first to come to mind.
Some time ago, I built decks using all 15 of the FTV: Legends as decks. This was the deck for Visara the Dreadful, and at the time I had a certain trio of Black enchantments. I went all-out on the price in a bid to make it the most expensive deck I ever built. I can no longer build it, since I sold the enchantments, but I didn't edit the deck to reflect that.

My Kurkesh, Onakke Ancient deck is about 75% foiled so far, so if i had to guess, there's probably about $1000 dollars in it, though I haven't been keeping track. Finished, it'll be about $1700.

so I built this deck soo long ago. To fight against a Thraxamundar deck, and it has evolved so much. then at a certain point, I liked it so much, and found myself not making any changes to it any more. So I decided to foil it out, and this is what I got now, and I love it. go ahead and click it. You'll like it

it's mostly that expensive because several RL cards have spiked recently and multiplied in price. a few months ago the price on tappedout was less than half of the currently displayed price...several of the non-foil cards have been altered to white bordered to match the white sleeves of the deck as well, but that's more for personal value.

I was never a big fan of 5-color decks, but Jodah really made me want to build one. It is also the only occasion for me to play 10 dual lands in a single deck, bringing the estimated value to $34,386.09. Music of the Spheres
This is greatly exaggerated, because in reality my duals are FBB, so the actual value is closer to 20K.
I have been playing since 1995 and in average paid around $45 for each dual.

I'll start. This is my paradox engine deck with oodles of expensive ramp. It was extra costly because I started with UBRG before swapping to WUBG, spending money on lands etc. TappedOut's estimate says $1300+ and I believe it.
